Lifeskills/Activities Coordinator

Hours: Tues-Fri 11am-8pm, flex Sat 11am-7pm


Maintain a healthy, therapeutic, and safe environment for all residents.  Work with residents to develop the skills necessary for independent living through lifeskills workshops and off-site/on-site community engagement activities.


  1. Develop and facilitate life skills and education classes for residents.
  2. Responsible for community engagement and connecting resources to residents.
  3. Responsible for educating and introducing our residents to community enrichment activities.
  4. Facilitate and plan on-site events and celebrations for residents.
  5. Appropriately document the residents’ activities and program participation.
  6. Chaperone scheduled activities both on site and away from the facility grounds.
  7. Assure all supplies and donations are consistently organized and inventoried.
  8. Promote social skills through resident participation in all activities and special events.
  9. Provide crisis intervention to residents and develop safety plans to assist residents with making safe choices
  10. Assist with the operations of the lobby when necessary.
  11. Assist during emergency situations.  Direct emergency response personnel, residents and staff.  Assist with evacuating the building if necessary.


  1. Bachelor’s Degree in a Behavioral Science and a minimum two years of full-time experience working with transition-aged youth or a similar population. Experience in group, social or recreational work is preferred.
  2. Ability to exercise considerable initiative and judgment required in planning and arranging recreational events, counseling, selection of activities and use of leisure time, and promoting interest in participation in activities.
  3. Good oral and written communication skills.
  4. Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
  5. Physical ability to perform Pro-ACT, administer first aid/CPR and operate an agency motor vehicle.

  7. As providers of social services, St. Anne’s employees work with clients dealing with complex emotional and mental health issues, many of whom are facing significant personal crises on a daily basis. Employees must remain aware of any personal emotions, transference, and/or countertransference that may hinder the ability to remain professional.  As such, employees are expected to maintain composure during all interactions and crisis situations, implement a self-care plan, and utilize crisis communication to deescalate client crisis and prevent any serious bodily injury or harm.
