Therapist

Hours: Mon, Tues 12pm-9pm, Wed 10am-7pm, Thurs 7am-4pm, Flex Fri 11-7 or 7am-3pm

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing comprehensive clinical services to clients residing in the Residential Treatment Program to ensure quality client care. Ensure documentation adheres to DMH standards. Participate in an interdisciplinary team to provide a healthy, therapeutic, and safe environment for clients.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  1. Provide individual therapy, family therapy, and crisis intervention services for designated caseload of clients.
  2. Utilize DSM for diagnosing. Conduct psycho-social assessments and treatment planning.
  3. Document client services in accordance with Department of Mental Health standards.
  4. Collaborate with treatment team to ensure quality client care.
  5. Evaluate progress of clients and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
  6. Coordinate linkage to appropriate intra-agency and community resources, including coordination of client’s psychiatric needs.
  7. Maintain fidelity to evidenced-based practices, as required.
  8. Assist other program areas with coverage/ratio requirements as needed.
  9. Maintain weekly service provision requirements.
  10. Interface with Department of Children and Family Services, Department of Mental Health, court systems, schools, law enforcement, health care providers and other community liaisons.
  11. Ensure accuracy in work and that all deadline expectations are met.
  12. Actively participate in administrative and clinical supervision and meetings.
  13. Follow up with supervisor in a timely manner regarding significant issues.
  14. Maintain confidentiality as required by St. Anne’s, licensing, HIPAA, and other regulatory agencies.
  15. Demonstrate ownership of work responsibilities by incorporating feedback, taking initiative, and interacting in a professional manner within assigned role and adhering to agency guidelines.
  16. Maintain professional boundaries with clients at all times.
  17. Follow state laws and agency mandates regarding child abuse reporting.
  18. Maintain regular, consistent and timely attendance.
  19. Follow and adheres to all field safety guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling is required.
  2. Ability to be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences is required.
  3. Experience in In-Home Services or work with adolescents preferred.Strong clinical skills in individual, family and group therapy.
  4. Requires possession of reliable automobile and a valid California Driver’s License as well as a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
  5. Must maintain and provide proof of automotive liability insurance coverage.
