VOLUNTEERING

Volunteer Opportunities

St. Anne’s is looking for passionate and motivated individuals or groups who are interested in making a difference in the lives of our young mothers, children and families. There are so many ways to help, and the Associate Director of Special Events and Volunteer Resources will coordinate with you or your group to find a great fit.

Volunteer

Volunteering at St. Anne’s makes a dramatic difference in the lives of St. Anne’s women, children and families. And there are so many ways to get involved!
  • READ

Share a good book with a child or a group of children to improve their vocabulary, fluency and reading comprehension at one of our Early Learning Centers. Volunteer requirements: aged 18 or older, fingerprinting background check, TB test, and select vaccinations.

  • PLAY

Boost a baby’s motor, language and social skills through playtime at one of our Early Learning Centers. Volunteer requirements: aged 18 or older, fingerprinting background check, TB test, and select vaccinations.

  • TEACH

Present at one of our Workforce Development sessions, part of an in-depth program helping transition-age foster youth build career paths. Describe your career path and share your story. You can  also join our “Career Shadowing” list,   serve as a mentor to a young working woman, or conduct mock interviews with clients to prepare them for real interviews. Volunteer requirements: aged 21 or older, Live Scan fingerprinting, and clearance from a St. Anne’s staff member.

  • INVEST

Provide a six-moth or year-long internship for a Workforce Development participant.

  • MAKE MERRY

Volunteer at one of our holiday parties, where you can help with set up and clean up, serve food and meet some of St. Anne’s families.

  • BEAUTIFY

Assist with cleaning one of our Early Learning Centers. The day’s tasks include cleaning playground equipment, toys and classrooms. This is a wonderful way to learn more about St. Anne’s approach to child development and a great teambuilding or group activity.

  • THRIFT

Help sort through clothing donations, arrange merchandise on the floor, and assist customers as they shop St. Anne’s Thrift & Gift Shop at 3315 W Burbank Blvd, Burbank, CA 91505. All proceeds go to support St. Anne’s programs.

You can also help craft beautiful baskets, wreathes, or whatever you can imagine for sale at Guild events! We welcome your creativity.
