Health Services Counselor

Shift:   Mon-Thurs 1-10. flex Fri 2-10


Responsible for administering medication and maintaining health records and appointments. Provides a healthy, therapeutic and safe environment for residents and their children in their direct care.


  1. Accurately administers medications.
  2. Schedules health care appointments in accordance with the standard required by the Child Health Development Program (CHDP).
  3. Maintains and keeps current all health records for residents and children.
  4. Provides supervision, protection, and care of residents individually and in groups at all time.
  5. Provides assistance to each resident in working with a group and in handling individual problems.
  6. Administers discipline and setting of limits for behavior.
  7. Documents residents progress; identifies possible need for professional services; communicates such findings to professional staff.
  8. Ensure safety of residents while transporting to and from appointments as needed
  9. Advocate for residents medical needs at appointments.
  10. Maintain regular, consistent, and timely attendance.
  11. Maintain confidentiality as required by St. Anne’s, licensing, HIPAA, and other regulatory agencies. 


  1. Graduate of accredited program, Bachelor of Arts or Science preferred.
  2. Experience in medical office setting preferred.
  3. Experience working with at risk teens preferred.
  4. Good oral and written communication skills.
  5. Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.



Internal Candidates (who have been in their current position for at least six months) may submit a Transfer Request Form to Human Resources.
