Quality Improvement Specialist

Schedule: (9/80) Monday –Thursday 9am – 6pm; Friday 9am – 5pm

Annual salary range: $65,000 – $70,000

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Quality Improvement (QI) Director, the QI Specialist will play an essential role in the implementation of the agency-wide Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) Plan, which aims to improve the quality of program services, as well as management and operations performance through the engagement of agency stakeholders and the collection and analysis of data.  

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI)

  1. Monitor program and administrative outcomes and performance data; communicate outcomes to key stakeholders with summary reports, facilitate department meetings to review relevant outcomes and develop any necessary plans for improvement.
  2. Provide support in agency accreditation efforts through the Council on Accreditation, including the development of task plans, gathering documentation, preparing for the accreditation site visit, and maintaining CQI practices aligned with standards ongoing.
  3. Serve as a key administrator for agency-wide data management system(s) and policy management system.
  4. Lead agency-wide stakeholder surveys* in partnership with senior management to evaluate desired outcomes by researching best practices, developing questions, and administering** the survey.

*Stakeholder surveys include employees, program participants, governing body, etc. One of the main stakeholder surveys is the Employee Survey done in collaboration with the QI Director and Chief Human Resources Officer.

**Survey administration includes distributing and collecting surveys, analyzing data, communicating results to key stakeholders, creating opportunities for active engagement, and monitoring improvements.

  1. Provide oversight and partner with leadership for improvement projects ranging from recommendations based on outcomes to monitoring improvements.
  2. Responsible for compliance with data reporting cycles and aggregating regular data summaries for analysis and distribution.
  3. Maintain program logic models and key indicators measured for stakeholder groups; partner with leadership to ensure data collection tools are aligned with outcomes.
  4. Manage agency benchmarking efforts by collecting, submitting, analyzing, and distributing reports.
  5. Promote a culture that values service quality by creating an atmosphere of enthusiasm and energetic commitment.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

  1. Participate in mandatory trainings, in-service, and meetings.
  2. Assist departments with special projects, as needed.
  3. Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Master Degree in social work or other relevant field required.
  2. Strong organizational, interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.  Bilingual and bicultural English/Spanish a plus.
  3. At least two years’ experience working in an office environment, direct HR, Quality, or OD experience preferred.
  4. Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher.
  5. Previous experience in collecting, organizing, analyzing and summarizing data required.
  6. Project management experience preferred.
  7. Class 3 driver’s license, automobile, and evidence of automobile liability insurance.
  8. Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback.

As providers of social services, St. Anne’s employees work with clients dealing with complex emotional and mental health issues, many of whom are facing significant personal crises on a daily basis.  Employees must remain aware of any personal emotions, transference, and/or countertransference that may hinder the ability to remain professional.  As such, employees are expected to maintain composure during all interactions and crisis situations, implement a self-care plan, and utilize crisis communication to deescalate client crisis and prevent any serious bodily injury or harm.

  2. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  3. Employee may occasionally be required to drive a motor vehicle.
