Ani Sargsyan, LCSW
Director of Residential Clinical Services
As Director of Residential Clinical Services, Ani oversees the overall mental health treatment program for clients placed in the short-term residential therapeutic program and is responsible for managing the program in compliance with laws and regulations.
Ani earned her master’s degree in social work from Columbia University and bachelor’s degree from University of California, Los Angeles where she studied psychology. She previously worked as a behavioral therapist providing applied behavioral analysis (ABA) based treatment to children with autism and other developmental disabilities. She was also a Certified Rape Counselor for a year working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
She joined St. Anne’s in 2010 as a mental health therapist working with clients and their families served in the Residential Treatment Program, Transitional Housing Program, and Community Based Programs. In 2013, she was promoted to a Mental Health Assistant Director and since then has supervised therapists working in various programs in the Mental Health Department. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), and a Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) certified for Los Angeles County. In addition, she is trained and certified in the following Evidenced Based Practices: Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP), The Nurturing Parenting Programs-Facilitator, Seeking Safety (SS) and Child and Parent Psychotherapy (CPP).
