Early Childhood Education (ECE) pays a stipend of $3000 annual bonus upon completion of the school year.


Under the direction of the Center Manager, this person will be responsible for the overall monitoring and supervision of the children in the classroom. Plans, facilitates and implements a responsive approach fidelity to Creative Curriculum activities designed to promote social, physical and intellectual growth. Assess and develops individual and group activities to stimulate learning, according to each child’s development and learning approach toward their School Readiness Goals. Responsible for the completion of all required educational records, ensures care and supervision of children by maintaining a safe, clean and healthy learning environment. Must assure inclusion of children with IFSP Individual goals, encourage parents as their children’s lifelong educators in the educational activities of the program by developing/enhancing their role as the main influence to their child’s development. This person may also assume the duties of the Site Supervisor during brief absences.

10.5 month position, school year.


  1. Must hold an AA in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field with 6 units in Infant and Toddler. BA preferred not required.
  2. Has or qualified to obtain a Child Development Teacher’s Permit or higher.
  3. Teaching staff that only possess 3 of the 6 required Infant Toddler units will be allowed 12 months to complete the additional 3 units. Must be progressing towards a Bachelor’s Degree program.
  4. Must have knowledge of planning and implementing learning experiences for infant and toddlers that:
        1. Advances the intellectual and physical development of children that leads to improving children’s school readiness by developing their early literacy, appreciation of books, understanding of early math and science, problem solving skills, and approaches to learning.
        2. Establishes and maintain a healthy learning environment.
        3. Supports the social and emotional development of children
        4. Encourages family involvement of the children in a Head Start program and supports the development of relationships between children and their families as lifelong educators to achieve School Readiness Goals.
  5. Able to relate well to both children and adults
  6. Must have the personality and ability to provide leadership and stability for program continuity.
  7. Preferred experience or training in infant/toddler development, safety issues; and methods for communicating effectively with infants, toddlers, parents and other staff members.
