Under the supervision of the Administrative Associate for the Supportive Housing Programs (SHP), the Program Assistant is responsible for being the first point of contact at the Bogen Transitional Housing building, after-hours presence for overnight emergencies, and transitional living programs. In addition, the Program Assistant will maintain a healthy, therapeutic, and safe environment for all residents, while managing the reception area, tenant files, and provide program support.

*The STRTP Program offers both a Sign-On Incentive AND a Retention Incentive range between $750-$1500 based on annual salary/pay.*


  • Manage and direct incoming phone calls.
  • Greet and direct guests and residents in the reception area.
  • Check-in visitors and enforce the visitation guidelines.
  • Distribute monthly allowance and/or food stipends gift cards to program participants.
  • Maintain and organize up-to-date hard and electronic files for easy access and retrieval.
  • Provide program and administrative support to the transitional housing team in the preparation of various program documents.
  • Assist during emergency situations by directing emergency response personnel, residents and staff. Assist with evacuating the building if necessary.
  • Submit work orders as necessary.
  • Maintain data and document tracking systems by entering data and monitoring accuracy.
  • Complete reports as necessary.
  • Provide crisis intervention to residents when necessary.
  • Actively participate in weekly team meetings.
    Communicate through fax, telephone and e-mail with other service providers when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality as required by St. Anne’s, Licensing, HIPAA, and other regulatory agencies.


  • Provide crisis intervention to residents and develop safety plans to assist residents with making safe choices.
  • Actively participate in mandatory trainings, in-services, and meetings.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe therapeutic environment for all residents.
  • Assist with the operations of the lobby when necessary.
  • Assist during emergency situations. Direct emergency response personnel, residents, and staff. Assist with evacuating the building if necessary.
  • Participate in the Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) of the agency.
  • Communicate through fax, telephone, and e-mail with other service providers when appropriate.
  • Maintain confidentiality as required by St. Anne’s, Licensing, HIPAA, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Good oral, written and organizational skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid California Driver’s License and a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
  • Physical ability to perform Pro-ACT, administer first aid/CPR and operate an Agency motor vehicle.
  • Ability to independently use a computer and the ability to learn necessary computer programs.
  • Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback.
