CLINICAL SUPERVISOR *BONUS INCENTIVE*

Schedule: Full time (32-40 hours a week)


Annual Salary:
$85,695.00 
 
*Mental Health Services Program (MHS) offers both a Sign-On Incentive and a Retention Incentive that ranges between $750-$1500 based on annual salary/pay.*

JOB SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Mental Services (MHS) Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical individual and group supervision to staff who are registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences and additional staff per contract requirements.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Meets individually with each clinician and intern weekly to provide clinical supervision.
  • Conducts weekly group supervision for no more than eight (8) staff in a group.
  • Ensures supervisees are meeting the performance expectations and standards of their position.
  • Provides direct feedback to supervisees regarding their Department of Mental Health (DMH) documentation.
  • Works with the MHS Program Director and Assistant Directors to ensure that the staff’s training needs are addressed.
  • Through example and consultation, guides staff to develop creative interventions for youth.
  • Provides crisis intervention for clients as needed.
  • Ensures that documentation meets Medi-Cal requirements.
  • Reviews and co-signs assessments and treatment plans.
  • Designated as the clinical lead, oversees clinical efficiency and fidelity to the model(s) of an evidence-based practice(s) (EBP).
  • Ensures client documentation is accurate and submitted within the established timeframe.
  • Develops and implements clinical trainings and support.
  • Monitors and measures client progress against treatment plans and stated goals as it applies to mental health documentation.
  • This role will serve on LPS rotation as assigned and will be required to attend DMH LPS Certification training. Must be able to successfully pass certification exam within 6 months of employment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • LMFT or LCSW with 2 years post-licensure experience.
  • Five years’ experience in working in the mental health field with children and their families.
  • Certified Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) Act Designee, or eligible to become certified.
  • Strong clinical skills.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention, documentation, and multicultural and socio-economic issues.
  • Some evening and field work will be required.
  • Good oral, written, and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to perform Pro-ACT, administer first aid/CPR and operate an Agency motor vehicle.
  • Requires possession of reliable automobile and a valid California Driver’s License as well as a driving record acceptable to the agency’s insurance carrier.
  • Must maintain and provide proof of automotive liability insurance coverage.
  • Ability to independently use a computer and the ability to learn necessary computer programs.
  • Bilingual and bicultural skills in Spanish preferred
  • Ability to receive and implement constructive feedback.

SECONDARY JOB DUTIES:

  • Participates in mandatory trainings, in-services, and meetings.
  • Participate in the Performance and Quality Improvement (PQI) of the agency.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Employee may occasionally be required to drive a motor vehicle.
